Dubbed "one of the world's most beautiful bookstores", Tsutaya bookstore is now open in Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Selangor. It is also the first Tsutaya bookstore in Malaysia. To my surprise, this bookstore occupies 31,000 square feet of space which I think is also one of the largest bookstores in Malaysia. The visit was not in my plan. Coincidentally, we had an event on an upper floor of the mall and thus we decided to check it out.

I was surprised as they strictly controlled the traffic inside even though Covid's preventive measure was lifted a few months ago.

Tsutaya bookstore is not an ordinary bookshop. They have a café, playground, dedicated space for family-friendly activities, and low bookshelves for children to build positive reading habits. There is also a vast collection of curated gifts and souvenirs from fine writing stationery, art and crafts, interior decorative items, fragrances and more.

For the previous visit, I did not have enough time to check out the books there. The stationery items and the merchandise goods in the bookstore are all so delicate and creative. Unfortunately, the price was not affordable. If you bring your kids along, perhaps you have to watch out when they are in the bookshop to avoid any unhappy incidents. For me, it is still a worthwhile window shopping experience 😂 They have many unusual items that are hardly found somewhere else in Malaysia.
Such a cool store.
