Lockdown is going to continue some more time. I'm not sure when we will regain our freedom. Our enemy is powerful and invisible. We have to stay at home all the time to get rid of the virus. Nevertheless, we could get bored when we have to cook every meal by ourselves. In addition, it's not easy when we need to work from home and cook for family. Since dine-in is not available in all restaurants, we either cook ourselves or ordering food from Foodpanda or GrabFood.
Recently, Pullman KLCC has launched a collection of menus for takeaways and deliveries to ease
those who are seeking alternatives of preparing food everyday especially now with working from
home during the pandemic.
These fuss-free menus are delivered to feed your entire family or even if you are organising virtual meetings and/or discussions. All menus are available daily for lunch and dinner, from 11am
to 7pm.
We ordered an Asian BBQ set and a Bento box set from Pullman KLCC Hotel two days after I started a new job.
The main course consists of :
Yakitori grilled chicken
Roasted spring chicken
Butter prawn with oat
Grilled beef with turmeric
Lamb kebab with cucumber raita
Portuguese style baked fish
Grilled whole squid
Grilled clam with ginger
This set priced at RM188, approximately 3-4 persons serving size, you can choose either Asian BBQ or Western BBQ. Each set comes with main courses, sides, desserts and drinks.
You can even can top-up for a bottle of beer or a bottle of red or white wine to pair with your BBQ. There are also add-ons available for this set such as Australian Beef Flank Steak, German Chicken Sausage, Udang Tebu Panggang and the list go on, priced from RM12 nett up to RM55 nett.
Grilled beef with turmeric is my family's favourite among all. It is so juicy and grilled to perfection.
Side dish:
Japanese potato salad
Thai style papaya salad with dried shrimp
Fish cracker
Hiyashi Chuka with Goma
Wok-fried mix vegetables
Cucumber and onion pickles
Nasi Briyani
Japanese potato salad is kinda special to me. Japanese potato salad is a perfect balance of creaminess, tartness, and yes, even a touch of sweetness, is so delicious and goes well with grilled companions.
Hiyashi Chuka with Goma is my favourite here. It is appealing to the appetite especially in appearance and aroma.
Dessert
mix fruits
honeycomb cake (apam gula hangus)
Drinks
homemade lemonade
The other day, I have the Bento set from Pullman KLCC Hotel. They offer 28 varieties in the menu for Bento Boxes. Customers can choose an assortment of vibrant meals from Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Western, Malay and Healthy Poke Bowl that is utterly convenient for work or even at home for just RM28 nett per set.
Each Bento Box comes with a bottle of chilled drinks. There are also snacks that can be ordered as add-ons, priced from RM15 nett to RM35 nett per snack.
It's so hard to choose as all look scrumptious. Finally, I made up my mind for Japanese Bento- Pan-seared Salmon Fillet (Saba Shioyaki Eppan Zen) since that's a long time not having any Japanese meal.
This set includes:
• Miso soup
• Fresh salad with goma dressing
• Futomaki roll with daikon pickles
• Chawamuchi (steamed egg)
• Gohan (steamed rice)
• Fresh fruit
• Choice of 1 drink from chilled beverage list
Drive-Thru stalls at Pullman KLCC Hotel Driveway also available daily from 11am to 7pm, for lunch and dinner.
For convenience, you can make order by the car window, make contactless payment via Touch ‘n
Go and their F&B team will deliver the food directly to you - all without leaving your car. The
Made -to-Order menu comprises from Char Kway Teow, Chicken Gordon Bleu, Salted Egg Spaghetti
to Marble Butter Cake and juice
