Taobao is one of the great online shopping platforms for all Chinese. Why only Chinese? As Taobao website is mainly using Chinese language for almost all of its features. When Taobao announced that they are going to open a real shop at Mytown Shopping Mall, Taobao fans including me were thrilled to pay a visit to the Taobao Store by Lumahgo.
The shop is located on the ground floor of MyTown Shopping Mall. It was quite crowded during our arrival at 12.30pm. People were lining up in front of the store waiting for their turns to get inside. Thus, we decided to go for lunch first before queuing up since we had no idea how long would need to wait.
Could you see the lines there? It is just the second day of the opening.
We came back after lunch and the queue still the same. But to our surprise, the queue is pretty fast too. Less than half an hour of the wait, finally we managed to enter.
The display items at the window of the shop
The shop is one way in and one way out. The first part is about the furniture and household vacuum from different brands.
What I get to know here, the items are for display. To purchase, you have to scan the QR code of the item that directs you to the Taobao app to proceed with the purchase. Since all Taobao items (from China) are all online, and we might hesitate to buy if the item quality is ok or not, then here you get to touch the real product and give you more confidence before making an order.
The furniture on display all is made of wood.
My friend asked me to buy this storage box for makeup products. But I said to him, it is just not big enough to put all my things inside. LOL
We saw a few cute robotic dogs for educational purpose. This will be a great gift for the kids.
Some of the items we never seen in Malaysia before and therefore, I would say we rather left behind of China. Do you see any VOICE KETTLE in any Malaysia electrical shop? I guess the answer is NO.
They brought in a lot of household electrical products. With all the plugs at every level of the shelves, actually, you could test it on the spot.
Another area is specified for Mother and Baby. The information counter is just in front of it.
Another part of the shop is selling cash & carry items range from RM1.99 to RM9.99. At here, you no need to scan the QR code for purchase but proceed payment at the cashier counter.
The food on the shelves is available to buy on the spot.
This cute thing is ear pick for the pet costs RM1.99.
After proceed to purchase at Taobao app, you could choose to use Lumahgo as your forwarder to ship your goods from China to Malaysia. They provide sea and air freight. This service further breaks down to self-collection at the store or send to your door.
Joe and Mia, were there at the shop from 2pm to play some games with the visitors & customers.
There is a small cafe that selling hand brew coffee. But honestly, the price is not cheap plus I don't see any seat there. I would rather visit the real cafe, sit there relax and enjoy my coffee plus the free WIFI while doing my works.
That's my haul from the shop. The food clips and USB handheld fan costs me RM1.99 and RM9.99 respectively. The right one is the sticker which given away by Mia via a Q&A game session.
The similar fan is selling at RM12+ in Taobao app exclude the shipping fee. I guess I got a good bargain.
That's actually more interesting products to discover in Taobao Store by Lumahgo but then I hope you guys could pay a visit yourself and tell me if you find this shop is helpful to assist you to shop at Taobao app.
Looks like an awesome place to shop at.
