For those who stay in Shah Alam, Bukit Sapu Tangan is one of the hiking spots among avid hikers. A bit of surprise that the trail entrance is in the residential area. Compared with other hills, this trail is rather quiet and less crowded. It's a good thing if you hike for many times when you are familiar with the area but not for the first timer like us. There are pro and cons in between.
The entrance is facing the guarded double-storey house. Welcoming us upon entry is the grassland with the picturesque lake.
Lake trail of Bukit Sapu Tangan is the easy track suitable for beginners. Well, the name of this hill is bit funny as sapu tangan in Malay words mean handkerchief. I have no idea why it is named so.
Estimated half an hour time, we reached the "Instagram spot" for a photo while this place is really a rest station.
We sat on the wood bench while enjoying the lake view. I just thought it would be awesome if we brought some food over here for a picnic.
We randomly spotted a tree branch full with thorns. One needs to be careful when hiking as you might accidentally be poked on it if you did not notice.
Since this entry point is located in the guarded residential area, you could only park outside the guardhouse and walk inside. By the way, from the guardhouse, the distance to the entry point is only 100 m. To our surprise, there were no other cars except us parking there. But we met a few hikers along the lake trail which I guessed most probably were the residents there. Here is a nice place to hike if you do not like to be so crowded and hassle-free of getting a car park.

ReplyDeletehi, what is the name of the taman (guarded double story house) for trail B? I am just trying to find the exact location of station B
ReplyDeleteThis place is called Bandar NusaRhu Fasa 1. (I managed to find it after struggling a while as my hard disk for the original picture is not with me.....finally I enlarged the picture in the blog to see the wordings on the blue signboard to get it.) If not mistaken, you could type Bukit Sapu Tangan and the WAZE would bring you to this place. As known, there is 2 entrances, one via shown above and another through Taman Botani Pertanian Shah Alam there which you need to pay entrance ticket.
DeleteHow long go into lake from entrance?
ReplyDeleteWithin 30 mins from the first picture location
