Hong Kong DG Studio Bring A Touch of Creativity to Malaysia

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) DG Studio is is hosting its second Malaysian retail expansion initiative this year as part of its ongoing city branding flagship promotion, an initiative that commenced in 2015, with the aim to grow the online and offline retail platforms in ASEAN countries for Hong Kong’s lifestyle and trendy brands. 

Themed ‘Trendy Lifestyle from Hong Kong’, the HKTDC DG Studio promotion is hosted at IOI City Mall(LG-K5A, West Wing) from 19-30 June where 14 innovative Hong Kong brands are showcased. Two of these brands are also be participating at the Toys, Anime, Games & Comic Con (TAGCC) 2019 which is taking place at the PWTC (Hall 4 Booths 101, 102, 107, 108) from 22-23 June. 

The 14 DG Studio brands are Artiart, Cardhoda, Eco Concepts, FLUFFY House, Hoobbe, Hyone, Kilovest, Konstar, MH Blocks, Paris Garden, SOAP Studio, Tea Lab, Team Green and TINY.The two brands featured at the TAGCC are SOAP Studio and TINY.

According to Ms Hoh Jee Eng, Director, Malaysia, HKTDC, “These 14 brands offer an extensive range of personal or corporate gifts and premiums of quality and distinction. Shoppers and Malaysian retailers will be spoilt for choice with the innovative twist, fun and quirkiness to the daily functional lifestyle products. After all, Hong Kong is known as the birthplace to many unique homegrown brands which have taken creativity and imagination a notch higher to capture the imagination and satisfaction of end users.The products are truly interesting. Shoppers and retailers will certainly be able to fully appreciate the passion, innovation and craftsmanship that each brand has to offer. 

“HKTDC is also pleased to be back in Malaysia for a second time this year following the highly successful event hosted earlier this year where we experienced a substantial sales increase compared to our average monthly turnover. Certainly, this indicates that Malaysia is an important market for our brands and we look forward to mutually beneficial business opportunities for both countries,” she added.
