MAHA IS HELD NOW! Well, no idea what is MAHA? It stands for Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism show. The show is actually an exhibition that held every 2 years. I think I spend about 5 hours just in this exhibition and not yet visited all the places. So now you can imagine how big is the exhibition! Before this, I have to warn you that the crowd is crazy and you just see the cars parked outside MAEPS at the roadside. Imagine Maeps has 5000 parking lot but still full. So, on last Sunday, we were lucky to find a parking at roadside and decided to walk in instead of parking inside (possibly can't find even one).
We walked about 10-15 mins with umbrella since it's hot and sunny. We had no idea which hall to go and just randomly selected one - Hall C. Our choice was right. I would like to know about indoor farming more here!
They did show up the tissue culture in the glass jar. Various of local plants being bred in this way. Of course, we asked for the info and guide how to make it. I might try it one day.
This booth is belong to MARDI. They showing latest technology and experiment done in MARDI such as DNA genotyping technology.
I'm sure the school kids would love this booth very much.
Located at the same hall is the BERNAS KLCC tower. They are having fun activities with their merchandizes to bring home. Besides, they held a competition of guessing the kilogram of rice inside klcc tower. The winner would get one year supply of Sunwhite rice for free!
I don't know how but I just went out from Hall C to Agrotrade Hall 1 &2 and I could not find my way to the hall back. LOL... I really not so interested with Agrotrade Hall since it's like a supermarket selling all agro and food products. I wish to come out fast when I see nothing interest me there. But the crowd in front of me blocking my exit way. LOL
Coming out from Agrotrade hall, we saw a big map at the signboard. We decided to go to laman padi, laman kuda, laman lembu to have a look. The distance is not that far. We going down the hill and reach another places of interest- Pavilion Negeri/ State Pavilion that showcases the culture and products of all states in Malaysia.
The interesting one should be Pavilion Terengganu.
They bring in small turtle .... IS REAL!!!
Together with big turtle - Penyu Agar (Chelonia Mydas)
At one corner, there is a Mak Cik weaving the basket, purse, tissue box and others. That's so Terengganu style here!
The cute rabbit house
The melon garden at Terengganu Pavilion is a great insta-worthy spot. Again the melon is REAL!
I wish to visit another pavilion but already late. I yet to visit the laman padi, laman kuda and etc. So after Terengganu Pavilion, we decided to continue our journey. For all the places we covered, we walked instead of taking tram/bus. We did not want to waste our time on waiting and the queue is crazy (LOL again). I wish not to emphasize on this but I hope you remember it.
Till here, I will tell you guys more about MAHA 2018 in my next post. Stay tune!
You always get to go to so many fun places.
