This post is continuous from the previous sharing. If you are looking for a holiday that does not burn your pocket on an island, you could opt for Pulau Besar besides Pulau Rawa. The rate here is more affordable. For Pulau Rawa, you have to stay at least 2 nights and therefore no 2 days 1-night package available.
Let say we take the cheapest option in Pulau Rawa (Rawa Island Resort), 4 adults per room for 2 nights at Hillside Deluxe, the rate is RM4130. Divided by 4 persons, each and everyone has to pay RM1032.5 for 2 nights, or RM516.25 per night. But bear in mind, no 2 days 1-night option there.
So for Pulau Besar (Bayu Lestari Resort), the rate of 4 adults per room is RM626 per person for 2 nights.
Both offer for 2 nights inclusive of :
* Two nights accommodation;
* Three daily meals (2 x breakfast, 2 x lunch, 2 x dinner) each person;
* Welcome drink upon arrival at the resort; and
* Two-way boat transfer to and from Mersing.

In the previous post, I show how Pulau Besar looks like. From a geographical perspective, Pulau Besar is much larger than Pulau Rawa, or perhaps you can try to view it through Google map. As mentioned Pulau Besar has 6 villages on island whereas Pulau Rawa has none. Pulau Rawa belongs to Johor royalty family as I heard from tourism officer, it is only recently opened to the public to stay. To foreigners, Pulau Rawa has gained more fame than Pulau Besar, resort guests mostly from German.

I stayed in Executive Suite at Bayu Lestari Island Resort for my visit in April. It is like a double storey house but all made from wood except that this suite does not come with dry pantry or kitchen. Thus, cooking in the suite is not advisable besides no fridge is provided.

There are bathrooms upstairs and downstairs too. But the bathroom on the ground floor is much larger or double the size compared with the upper floor. All in wood. I heard the story they made use of the trees on the island to build the resort. That's why we see all from wood.

The white bed on the upper floor looks sophisticated. It could be a sofa too.

For the executive suite, there is no air-conditioner downstair, only fan available. While there are 2 air-conditioners upstairs at different corners.
