This is my N times been to Johor but my first time to Desaru. Nevertheless, it is a bit different from previous trips, I brought a bunch of Chinese bloggers along with the newly formed Malaysia Chinese Blogger Club. At first, I would like to address my gratefulness to the sponsors including Tiara Desaru Seaview Residence and Johor Tourism who accommodate us throughout our stays.

I never heard of Tiara Desaru Seaview Residence until a friend mentioned it. I was fascinated with the place by the pictures he shared with me. This is why I pleaded them to let us stay even though the place is not ready to accommodate any guests.
Tiara Desaru Seaview Residence is formally known as La Cemara Desaru Resort Condominium which was officiated by Jacky Chan 10 years ago according to Dato' Sri Jacky Ker. It was then rehabilitated by MB Resort and acquired by the investment arm of a member of Premium Plus group.
Tiara Desaru Seaview Residence is the first condominium in Desaru provides hotel service to buyer and residents. With 10 acres of land area, TDSR builds only 579 units to ensure the living quantity of tenants in the best condition. TDSR offers comprehensive facilities such as swimming pool, infinity pools, gym, tennis court, bicycle, garden and beachside cabana bbq area. Currently, 150 units are reserved as short term or daily rental for guests and travellers.
TDSR is definitely a nice place for a family short getaway. It is a hidden gem in Desaru surrounded with lush greenery and stunning view of the beach.
Desaru has a few well-known places of interest such as crocodile farm, ostrich farm and the fruit farm. All these places can be accessed within 1 hour with car.
TDSR is surrounded with water. It has huge pools and also located by the seaside. I just think that 3D2N is not enough for me as I only have little time spending in this place after visiting all the places of interest I mentioned above. I don't even have time to stroll leisurely on its solid flat beach. According to the staff, there are baby crab and hermit crabs crawling over the unpolluted beach. How I wish I can prolong my stay to spot them.

Dipping myself in the clean and clear pool of TDSR is definitely a must for a swimming lover like me. It ables to soothe my tiring soul and mind while having fun with a bunch of friends.
As this place is opened to public since a half year ago, there is still no food outlets available. Nevertheless, TDSR prepared our breakfast as we requested. They bought the food from outside, set the table and chairs for us at the beach! What a wonderful experience dining at the beach :)
We had roti canai the first morning and nasi lemak the next morning. The typical Malaysian breakfast in the morning :)
I did not spot any crabs at the beach. But the coconut fell on the ground with a big tidy hole at the shell made me thinking if squirrel is the culprit behind the work.
The unit we stayed is a Luxury Suite. From the website, the suite costs RM320 nett per room per night. This is affordable especially for a family with kids as the unit itself able to accommodate more than that. The unit comes with a living room, a bedroom, 2 bathrooms, pantry area and balcony. In living room and bedroom, both equipped with air-conditioner and TV.
Even though it is known as residence, towels are prepared.
We have a L-shaped sofa in the living room. For Family Suite, the sofa is replaced with a bed.
The 2 bathrooms come with water heaters and floor mats.
There is also a big cupboard and a vanity place. This is what I look for everytime I check in a hotel as I need to make up myself before going out.
At night, we paid a visit to a friend's unit next to us. We just had some very good time and laughing non-stop with all the silly jokes while trying to finish the pulasan gifted by the owner of Desaru Fruit Farm which we visited that evening.
Watch my review at the unit:
Tiara Desaru Seaview Residence is now open for sales starts from RM500k and long term leasing from RM1,600, daily rental starting from RM200.
