Magic of the Night 2015 @ Marina Putrajaya

Magic of the Night is in its 5th year now. This year a total of 17 decorated boats graced the Putrajaya Lake for four nights from 28 May -31 May 2015.

Special fireworks displayed before the show and boat cruising.

 

A unique attraction at this year MOTN was 1 Malaysia drum performance- the Seratus Irama Pergendangan MyFest 2015- which involved a Kompang, Jido and Bhangra drum group, symbolising the Malay, Chinese and Indian communities.

With the theme Endless Celebrations, the boats cruised along the 3km Putrajaya Lake, featuring a dazzling combination of lights, colours, and beautiful architecture that symbolised the icons, tourism products, and cultures of the respective states.

All the boats that night competed in 4 categories, which are 'Overall Best Flotilla', 'Most Creative Flotilla', 'Best Lighted Flotilla' and 'Most Popular Flotilla' (most popular vote by public).

Love to take pictures? Make sure you don't miss it next year! MOTAC in collaboration with Gaya Travel Magazine organized a Magic of the Night 2015 photography and selfie contest (instagram) which offered a total prize money of RM13,800.

Throughout the 4 nights, Nadiputra bus was provided to transport passengers from Putrajaya Sentral station to the event site for free from 4.30 pm (every 30 minutes). What's more? The entrance fee was free ^^ Thank you for reading even though the picture quality is not good as all were taken with smartphone.
