Great Place for Shopping @ Filipino Market, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Before we headed back to KL from Kota Kinabalu airport, we had some spare time to stop at Filipino market for last round of shopping spree. Filipino market as its name suggested, it is run by Filipino immigrants. It is located at waterfront of KK and easily accessible, just within a few minutes distance from airport.

在我们还没从 Kota Kinabalu 机场飞回吉隆坡的时候，我们还有少许时间到 Filipino Market 来最后一轮的血拼。正如Filipino Market 所起的名字，它是由Filipino 移民运行。它坐落在KK waterfront 非常容易去到那，而且离机场才有几分钟的距离。

Filipino market

The building is painted with light red, yellow and green colour. There are tailors with their machines sitting outside the building. I can say I would not pay any special attention or enter this building when passing by if I was not being told that's a popular shopping place for tourists and locals.

建筑物外面被油上浅红，黄色和青色，而且走廊外也有好几名裁缝师坐在自个儿的裁缝机前干活。若没人告知我说那里是游客们和本地人著名的购物地点，我还真的不会对这地方给予任何关注或者走进里面去。

Filipino market

There are about 40 stalls inside. The goods on offer include local handicrafts like frog bags, key chains, music instruments, masks, cloth and accessories.

这里面大约有40个档口。售卖的货品包括本地的艺术品如青蛙包包，锁匙圈，乐器，面具，布料和装饰等。

Deep sea pearls necklace sold at around RM200. Some goods are cheap, some are not.

深海珍珠项链每条以大约RM200售卖。这里的商品有些便宜有些不。

Karimba

Then, I saw this when walking alone inside. It's quite eye-catching and I have to get one to ask the shopkeeper what is this, the price and etc.

然后，我独自一人在内行走的时候就看到这个。非常抢眼所以我拿了一个然后问店员这是什么东西，价钱和其他。

These little musical instruments are called Karimba, made with coconut. Although they look very simple they can be played and sound comes out from it. It is sold at RM18/ piece. A very good souvenir if you have a friend who really loves to play music!

这小小的乐器叫Karimba,用椰子做成。他们看起来很简单但是可以弹出声音来。每一个售RM18。若你有朋友喜欢音乐的话，这应该是个很好的纪念品！

hauls from Filipino Market

These are the hauls from Sabah. I can't remember which one was bought in Filipino Market. But if you like colourful bracelets and necklaces or hunting souvenirs at the very last minute, it is a very nice place to shop before boarding.

这些是从沙巴拼回来的物品。我不记得哪个是在Filipino Market买的。不过假如你是非常喜欢五颜六色的手链和项链或者想在最后一分钟抢购纪念品的话，这里是你登记前最好购物的地点。
