Sundown Ramadhan Buffet @ The Apartment, The Curve

I was invited for Sundown Buffet preview at The Apartment in the early of June. I never been to The Apartment, thus the first question popped out from my mind was "What? Apartment? Dine in an apartment? Restaurant in apartment? For those who never been there, do you have such thought as well? 



六月初我受邀去the Apartment 的Sundown Buffet 的预览 。我从未到过The Apartment,所以在我脑海里的第一个问题便是“什么？套房? 在套房内用餐？餐厅在套房内？你们没去过的，有没有如此的想法呢？

That's really funny...I mean myself to have such funny thought. 
这是非常可笑的...我是说我自己有如此好笑的想法。

The Apartment

Upon arrival on that day, I was impressed. The Apartment is a restaurant with modern apartment setting. It provides a casual, comforting home dining experience to all guests. 

那天抵达，我觉得有点惊喜。这The Apartment是间以现代套房概念设计的餐厅。他提供舒服居家的体验给每一位用餐者。

In line with the philosophy, diners can choose to dine in the 'living room', 'bedroom', 'bathroom' or 'library'. Dining at The Apartment is a truly interesting experience and lives up to its identity -' Where dining out means coming home'.

 配合他的哲学，用餐者可以选择在客厅，睡房，浴室或者图书馆用餐。在The Apartment 用餐确实是种有趣的体验，因为在外出用餐就好像回到家式的。

The Sundown Buffet promotion runs for a month from 30th June to 27th July 2014. During this fasting month, The Apartment will be hosting a feast of tantalizing delicacies ranging from authentic traditional Malay dishes to a wide selection of Asian and European cuisine. 

The Sundown Buffet  的促销将会从6月30日起直到7月27日，为期1个月。在这斋戒月期间，The Apartment将会准备一连串的美食如正宗的马来传统菜肴，亚洲和欧洲的美食等。

Among the highlights include popular Malay cuisine such as Kerabu Ayam Pedas, Nasi Hujan Panas, Ayam Masak Merah, and Masak Lemak Nenas, to Asian-styled dishes such as Spicy Chicken Maekjok, Tom Yum Goong, Aloo Gobi, Chicken Inasal, and Pecal Lele. 

其中的亮点包括出名的马来美食如Kerabu Ayam Pedas, Nasi Hujan Panas, Ayam Masak Merah, 以及 Masak Lemak Nenas，亚洲风味的菜肴包括Spicy Chicken Maekjok, Tom Yum Goong, Aloo Gobi, Chicken Inasal, 和 Pecal Lele.

The buffet line-up also features some delightful European-styled dishes such as Mushroom & Spinach Pasta, White Fish Pie, Clams Aglio Olio, Piquant Cream Grilled Chicken and lots more.

Buffet 上也有准备一些欧洲风味的美食如 Mushroom & Spinach Pasta, White Fish Pie, Clams Aglio Olio, Piquant Cream Grilled Chicken 等等。

Nasi Hujan Panas

Rice is staple food in Malaysia. What I have everyday is plain rice. So when I saw this at the table, I was surprised! I have been told that Nasi Hujan Panas (Hot Rain Rice) is one of the Malay traditional cuisine. Oh Gosh! I never seen this even though I stay here for more than 20 years! My Malay friend told me that the common presentation of Nasi Hujan Panas is very colourful like a rainbow! (I saw pink, blue and yellow for this) Chef Jay Jay from Ipoh also said that he put in more spices like cinnamon and star anis for more fragrant.

饭是马来西亚常年吃的食物。我每天吃的只是白饭。所以当我看到这在桌上的时候，就有点喜出望外！我被告知说Nasi Hujan Panas （热雨饭）是马来人的传统美食之一。天啊！我在这待了超过20年都从来未见过这东西！我的马来朋友告诉我说一般的Nasi Hujan Panas 的饭都是很色彩缤纷的就如彩虹一样！（我看到这里有粉红色，蓝色和黄色）来自怡保的Chef Jay Jay 也说他在这饭内多加了肉桂和星茴香以让它更芬香。

Chicken Inasal is popular in Philippine. It is added with herbs and spices. Chef Jay Jay said that Filipinos like this very much and they eat together with the rice.

Chicken Inasal 在菲律宾是很出名的。它里面加了草药和香料。Chef Jay Jay 说菲律宾人很喜欢这个以及很喜欢拌饭吃。

Spicy Chicken Maekjok is Korean-styled inspired dish. It is made with chicken thigh, tastes sweet and spicy at the same time.

Spicy Chicken Maekjok 是韩国式的菜肴。它是以鸡胸肉做成的，味道甜甜辣辣的。

Aloo Gobi

Aloo Gobi is also another special dish here. Frankly speaking, I never heard about the name of the dish before, so it is special for me! That's what the chef telling me: "Aloo Gobi is a popular cuisine in India. They often eat with rice and chappati." Well, my Indian readers, are you familiar with this?

Aloo Gobi 也是这里的其中一道特别菜肴。老实说，我从未听过这道菜的名字，所以对我而言是特别啦！厨师对我说：“Aloo Gobi 在印度很出名，他们时常配饭和chappati一起吃的。”好的，印度的读者，你们熟悉吗？

I learnt new words when dining here. Lele is Indonesia's word means ikan keli with sambal (catfish with sambal).

在这用餐，我又学到新的字。Lele 是印尼字，意思是ikan keli with sambal（鲶鱼煮sambal）。

There are 50 food variety in the Sundown Buffet menu and not fixed. So one will be spoiled with many choices when dining at The Apartment and will not be bored when coming back the other day as the menu is rotated frequently.

Sundown Buffet 的餐单拥有大概50多种选择，而且是不定的。当你来这用餐的时候，你会被这里多样的选择受宠 ，隔天在回来也不觉得腻，因为这里的餐单会一直更换。

In addition, diners will also be able to watch live-cooking demonstrated by The Apartment’s chefs and also take away a home-made cookie in the shape of a ketupat. 

The buffet will be available daily from 6pm till 9pm throughout the fasting month at The Apartment’s outlets. Diners can enjoy this sumptuous sunset buffet spread at the price of RM59.90++ at the Curve and RM79.90++ at KLCC. Kids will enjoy a flat rate of RM26.90++ at both outlets. 除此以外，用餐者还可以观赏The Apartment 厨师当场示范煮菜以及可以领一片以ketupat形状做成的手作饼干回来。
