The Beauty of Pulau Rawa, Malaysia

Pulau Rawa is on my travel list a long time ago. I even thought of organizing a trip to there with my fellow uni mates but none of them seem interested. When others asking where I been for vacation, I answered and said Pulau Rawa. Nevertheless, my friends and even most local unknown about this beautiful island. This is sad enough. I am not sure if there is less publicity for this place or other reasons around, but thanks God I have an opportunity to explore the island myself last 2 weeks ago.

To reach Pulau Rawa, we have to take the speed boat at the Mersing jetty. There are 5 routes to Pulau Rawa every day: 9am, 11am, 12pm, 2.30pm and 3pm.

Situated within the archipelago of the Sultan Iskandar Marine Park, Rawa Island is accessible by a thirty-minute boat ride from Mersing, Johor.

In Pulau Rawa, there are only 2 resorts i.e Rawa Island Resort and Alang's Rawa. Many years back, this island belongs to royal family but later sells to companies and becomes what is it today.

One of the attractions of Pulau Rawa is its slides. It is never seen in other islands.

Simply glanced through the beach and surroundings, 99% of the guests in the island are non-local!

The water is pristine clear!

There are many sexy bikinis ladies at the beach!好养眼！

Rawa Island is an idyllic tropical island for guests to unwind from the hustle and bustle of city life. Simply lay back and enjoy the sunlight or feel the fine grain of white, sun-baked sand between your toes as you stroll along the beach.

The cafeteria area....This is also where guests will step into when they walked from the jetty.

Breakfast served: 8-10am

Lunch served:12.30-2.30pm

Dinner served:7-9pm

Map of Rawa Island. My room is HC09, the top right corner which is on the hillside with no sea view at all. The resort I stay is Rawa Island Resort which features 77 rooms, each individually designed to blend in with the natural landscape.

It is not spacious but enough to fit 2 persons inside. Air conditioner, fans, water heater are all available in the room. The room equipped with modern furnishings with the comforts of home. Someone told me that's a nice place for couples planning the honeymoon, what do you think? The room rate is approximately RM800 per night. You can check through their website.

A lot of activities offered at the island. This includes swimming, snorkelling, kayaking, scuba-diving, hobby cat sailing and island hopping.

After checked in, I can't wait anymore and directly change my swim suit for water activities. The best part of Pulau Rawa compared with others is that we can snorkel along the natural coral reef just metres from the shore. There are thousands of fishes inside the water and I will show it in my next post. *wink*
